The Veteran Association of Royal Brunei Armed Forces, (PERWIRA), also held a Khatam Al-Qur'an Ceremony and Donation Presentation to Orphans of RPN Panchor Mengkubau. It took place at An-Na'aim Mosque, RPN Panchor Mengkubau, 13th March late afternoon.

In attendance was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohammad Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence. The ceremony was part of the annual religious activities for PERWIRA members in conjunction with Ramadhan.
